Quote: "On May 9, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited heads of diplomatic missions from countries whose high-ranking officials attended the military parade in Moscow. A protest was expressed to the diplomats".

Details: First Deputy Minister Serhiy Kyslytsia emphasized that in the context of Russian aggression, mass killings of Ukrainians, strikes on civilian infrastructure, and war crimes, the presence of foreign officials at a parade of an aggressor state is viewed as an unfriendly act.

The Ministry also highlighted that Russia is attempting to monopolize the historical memory of victory over Nazism, appropriating achievements that were attained jointly by the peoples of the Anti-Hitler Coalition, particularly Ukrainians.

Kyslytsia reminded that despite numerous international initiatives for a ceasefire, Russia continues to refuse to support peace efforts. In particular, it has yet to accept the U.S. proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire for 30 days, which Ukraine backed on March 11.

He noted that Russia does not even adhere to its own proclaimed "ceremonial" ceasefire, continuing daily attacks on Ukrainian positions along the entire frontline.

Quote: "The presence of high-ranking officials from several countries at Kremlin-organized events has nothing to do with honoring the memory of the victims and heroes of World War II, but is, in fact, a desecration of it, supporting modern aggression in Europe, and the imperialistic war of Russia against Ukraine".
