The Luxembourg Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel announced a €10 million allocation to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund.

This was disclosed during a press conference featuring Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, Bettel, and Luxembourg's Defense Minister Yuriko Backes, as reported by a correspondent from "European Truth".

On April 30, Bettel and Backes visited Kyiv, where they met with the head of Ukraine's foreign affairs ministry Sybiha.

During the joint press conference, Bettel declared the €10 million allocation to support Ukraine's "long-term energy resilience".

"Funds from the energy fund will be directed towards critical needs, from purchasing equipment and fuel to modernizing energy infrastructure," noted Sybiha, commenting on the decision.

Additionally, the Luxembourg Foreign Minister announced a contribution of €1 million to First Lady Olena Zelenska's fund "to support a project for youth aged 16 to 21 providing psychological assistance".

"This is a traumatic experience for an entire generation of youth growing up in wartime realities," added Bettel.

It should be noted that on March 14, the Canadian government contributed an additional €33.4 million to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund.

Prior to that, Iceland transferred over €2 million to the fund.

On March 22, the Netherlands also decided to allocate €65 million to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund.
