From May 1 to July 14, a train decorated by American artist Barbara Kruger will travel across Ukraine. The artwork is titled "Untitled".

This was reported by The Art Newspaper.

The artist has painted the "Intercity" carriages of Ukrzaliznytsia. The first journey will commence from Kyiv-Passazhyrskyi to the Darnița station on the outskirts of the city. The route will pass through the country with stops in Lviv, Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, Poltava, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyi.

Barbara Kruger created this installation on behalf of the public cultural organization RIBBON International in collaboration with Ukrainian Railways.

Project curator Maria Iserlis mentioned that Barbara was inspired by the propaganda trains of Vasyl Yermilov from the 1920s, which carried revolutionary slogans and disseminated messages of the Soviet era in rural parts of Ukraine.

The text on the train is written in Ukrainian. For Kruger, it was important that people could comprehend the inscriptions and feel a connection to them.

"The train symbolizes solidarity for her," says Iserlis.

American artist Barbara Kruger is known for her bold, provocative texts that address contemporary issues. They invite passersby to pause, reflect, and reassess the world around them.

In the commissioned project "Untitled (Another One)", the following lines are featured:

"ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER NIGHT ANOTHER DARKNESS ANOTHER GLOW ANOTHER KISS ANOTHER FIGHT ANOTHER LOSS ANOTHER GAIN ANOTHER DESIRE ANOTHER SIN ANOTHER SMILE ANOTHER TEAR ANOTHER HOPE ANOTHER FEAR ANOTHER LOVE ANOTHER YEAR ANOTHER ARGUMENT ANOTHER LIFE"
