Ukrenergo has denied rumors about the potential return to electricity outages.
The company's press service stated that recent news circulating in media and social networks is false. "Currently, no restrictions are in place," the official statement reads.
However, the company emphasized that there is indeed a need for rational electricity consumption, as repair works on energy facilities continue after Russian attacks. With the onset of colder weather, electricity consumption has significantly increased as many households start using heaters, fireplaces, and air conditioning.
Additionally, with the end of the heating season, some generation facilities have ceased operations, as they cannot produce electricity without thermal generation.
The situation is further complicated by cloudy weather, reducing the efficiency of solar power plants.
Therefore, Ukrenergo urges citizens to reduce the use of high-power electrical devices and avoid turning on multiple devices simultaneously from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
It's worth noting that in Ukraine, due to a significant drop in temperature as of the morning of April 7, electricity consumption exceeded the level of the previous working day, April 4, by 16%.
On April 8, consumption remained at a high level. As of 9:30 AM, the electricity consumption level was 2.3% higher compared to the same time the previous day - Monday.
