Over fifty nations have initiated discussions with the USA to ease trade tensions.

This was stated by Kevin Hassett, chair of the National Economic Council.

According to Hassett, more than 50 countries are in talks with the USA regarding tariffs.

Hassett noted that Trump was in communication with global leaders throughout the weekend. Taiwan reached out to him overnight, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to visit the White House on Monday to discuss trade policies and Middle Eastern affairs.

"He intends to listen to our trading partners, and if they come to us with truly beneficial proposals that will aid American manufacturing and farmers, I’m sure he will listen," added Hassett.

Reminder:

US President Donald Trump stated that he does not seek a stock market crash but considers the current situation a necessary step.
