During the first quarter of 2025, the gambling sector in Ukraine contributed 5.4 billion UAH in taxes to the state budget, marking a 20.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

This information was reported by Danilo Hetmantsev, the head of the financial committee of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to him, this figure exceeds the January-March 2021 numbers by 143 times (37.7 million UAH).

He noted that in January 2025, the budget received 735 million UAH, in February - 1.52 billion UAH, and in March - 3.13 billion UAH.

Hetmantsev also mentioned that the sales volume using RRO/PRRO in the first two months of 2025 reached 8.5 billion UAH, exceeding the January-February 2024 level by 18.5 times (0.5 billion UAH).

He emphasized that the mandatory implementation of RRO/PRRO in the gambling industry late last year has contributed to the sector's legalization.
