The ministry also reminded that individuals with hearing or speech impairments can contact the 112 line. Operators accept calls in sign language through video communication. In 2.5 years of operation, over 43 thousand such calls have been recorded.
Overall, according to the Ministry, more than 10.5 million calls have been made since the launch of the 112 service.
Additionally, the app “112 Ukraine” is available, allowing users to reach emergency services even without mobile service, requiring only Wi-Fi access.
«This provides an additional channel for reporting emergencies. It will be useful when in shelters, public places, etc.», - emphasized the ministry.
Since January 15, the 112 line has started accepting reports of missing heating, water, and electricity supply.
