The independent French company nPerf conducted a study on home internet offerings in Ukraine for 2025, focusing on Vodafone and "Kyivstar". The results indicated that Vodafone provides superior services to Ukrainians.
Unlike previous years, the study only compared two providers this time, whereas more were analyzed before. According to the findings, Vodafone boasts an average download speed of 200.48 Mbps compared to 109.04 Mbps for "Kyivstar". The upload speed is also better at 196.4 Mbps versus 127.8 Mbps.
Moreover, Vodafone shows better webpage loading speeds and more stable video streaming, although in latency tests, "Kyivstar" held an advantage with 18.32 ms compared to Vodafone's 22.40 ms.
Despite Vodafone's superior performance in most tests, home internet from "Kyivstar" remains more popular. According to nPerf, the user share between providers is 66% for "Kyivstar" and 34% for Vodafone.
Interestingly, nPerf did not clarify why only two providers were considered this year. For comparison, in 2024, Vega was the market leader, and in the years prior, Lanet held the top position.
Additionally, it's worth noting that at the beginning of last year, nPerf recognized Vodafone as the best mobile operator in Ukraine for 2024. The results of this year's study to determine the winner for 2025 will be released in a few weeks.
