In 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has brought into operation over 1300 new models of military equipment and armaments, which is a 25% increase compared to last year. Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal shared this update on his Facebook page.
According to him, the largest share consists of:
- unmanned aerial vehicles – over 550 units,
- ammunition of various types – more than 270 units,
- over 50 units of automotive equipment,
- 11 units of armored vehicles (including specialized armored cars),
- 13 units of small arms.
“This is the result of systematic work by Ukrainian manufacturers, who are not only scaling up production but also creating new technological solutions for the front,” emphasized Shmyhal.
He also highlighted that the development of the domestic defense industry is a strategic priority, with proprietary designs and modern technologies being a key foundation for the resilience of the Ukrainian military.
In 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine allocated more than 6 billion dollars to the domestic defense industry.
