The 'Yellow Ribbon' movement organized a Christmas event in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Activists shared photos of themselves wearing traditional embroidered shirts, preparing the traditional 12 dishes, setting up Christmas trees, and decorating them with Ukrainian symbols. They reported this on Telegram.
"Despite the occupation, Ukrainian Christmas thrives. We want to show how the activists of the 'Yellow Ribbon' movement celebrate Christmas - wearing embroidered shirts, preparing the traditional 12 dishes, setting up Christmas trees, and decorating them with Ukrainian symbols, preserving what the occupiers attempt to erase. At the festive table, we make our most cherished wishes - for freedom, Ukraine's victory, and health for our loved ones," they stated.
Christmas cannot be occupied, the activists added.
