A unique center for cancer patients is set to be constructed in Lviv, providing free accommodation for those undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments. The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, announced this initiative.
The building will be constructed using innovative Japanese technology in collaboration with DAIWA House Group. This method will ensure rapid and high-quality construction that meets the needs of patients. The city has already signed a memorandum of cooperation regarding this project.
Andriy Sadovyi also shared insights from an important meeting with Hiroshima's mayor, Kazumi Matsui. They discussed urban resilience during wartime, rebuilding opportunities, and ongoing support for Ukraine. The Japanese side is planning a separate session focused on collaboration with Ukrainian communities.
Additionally, an agreement has been reached for a partnership between Hiroshima Nagisa School and Lviv's Budokan. The cooperation will begin with online meetings, followed by exchanges and internships.
Lviv has had a Japan Desk operational for several months now — a special office for interaction with Japan. During this time, nearly one hundred Japanese entrepreneurs have visited the city to explore investment opportunities and consider joint projects.
