The bridge reconstruction began in December 2024. Workers completely replaced the supports, spans, girders, and roadway, creating a new asphalt surface on the bridge and its approaches. They also upgraded utilities and installed LED lighting, railings, barriers, and noise protection screens. Mayor of Kyiv Vitalii Klitschko announced this.
According to him, the reconstruction of the hazardous structure initiated by "Kyivavtodor" is now officially completed. On Friday, November 28, the updated bridge near the "Darnytsia" metro station was opened to traffic and pedestrians.
The old bridge, built in 1963, had never undergone major repairs. During the renovation, workers entirely replaced the supports, spans, girders, and the roadway, and installed a new asphalt surface, upgraded utilities, installed LED lighting, railings, barriers, and noise protection screens. Bicycle and pedestrian sidewalks were also created.
"One of the key stages was the removal of the support that was previously located under the structure on Brovarskiy Avenue. Its new placement outside the roadway is expected to reduce accidents and improve traffic capacity," Klitschko noted.
The project was implemented with consideration for accessibility principles to facilitate movement for people with disabilities and those with limited mobility. All work was carried out without interrupting the metro and transportation flow along Brovarskiy Avenue.
In 2026, the repair of the underground passage and stairs from Andriy Malyshev Street is expected to be completed, along with the finishing touches on the bridge and the improvement of the surrounding area.

Starting today, the updated bridge at the intersection of Builder Street with Brovarskiy Avenue and the Svyatoshyn-Brovarska metro line near the "Darnytsia" station has resumed partial operations of trolleybus routes. This was reported by the Transport Infrastructure Department of the Kyiv City State Administration.
In particular, trolleybus No. 29 is back on its regular route "Kurenivka Station – Darnytsia Square."

Additionally, on Friday, a temporary trolleybus route No. 50-A "Myloslavska Street – Darnytsia Square" will be organized:

• Myloslavska St. – Red Kalyna Ave. – Ankara Square – Red Kalyna Ave. – Voskresensky Ave. – Hryhorii Narbut Ave. – Builder St. – Darnytsia Square – World Ave. – Builder St. – Hryhorii Narbut Ave. – Voskresensky Ave. – Red Kalyna Ave. – Ankara Square – Red Kalyna Ave. – Myloslavska St.

Accordingly, the movement of trolleybuses No. 50-K and 29-K from Myloslavska Street and Kurenivka Station to the "Darnytsia" metro station will be temporarily halted.

Starting Saturday, November 29, the following routes will be resumed:

• trolleybus No. 50 – "Myloslavska St. – Libidska Metro Station";
• trolleybus No. 50-K – "Myloslavska Street – Darnytsia Square";
• bus No. 55 – "Palace of Sports Metro Station – Darnytsia Square."

Temporary routes No. 43-A, 50-A, and bus No. 50-TR will cease operations starting Saturday.
