The Ukrainian Startup Fund, in collaboration with Brave1 and the State Emergency Service, is launching a grant initiative aimed at manufacturers of fire-fighting drones and ground robotic systems. Developers can apply for grants of up to 8 million UAH.
According to Mykhailo Fedorov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, this grant program will help establish a market for fire-fighting drones.
Grants will be awarded for developing innovative solutions capable of extinguishing fires in the most dangerous and hard-to-reach locations.
Fedorov also highlighted the focus areas of the grant program:
- Fire-fighting drones (UAVs) with remote control, capable of delivering extinguishing agents, with a flight time of up to 45 minutes and a payload capacity of 25 kg.
- Ground robotic systems equipped with remotely controlled firefighting hoses, with a control range of up to 2 km and a load capacity of 200 kg.
"The maximum grant amount is 8 million UAH. Over the course of a year, a developer can receive up to 5 grants totaling 30 million UAH to progressively enhance their technology readiness," stated the Minister of Digital Transformation.
It is also worth noting that the Ukrainian Startup Fund is launching the Startup EDGE grant program with a total budget of 1 million euros, allowing companies to receive up to 40,000 euros in non-repayable financial assistance.
