Recently, unidentified drones were observed over the Volkel military airbase in the Netherlands. Ground forces attempted to take them down, but the drones managed to evade the attack and disappeared from sight. Minister of Defense Ruben Brinkman shared this information on social media platform X.
“Last night, drones were detected over the Volkel airbase. We used ground-based weapons to try and intercept them, but they fled and have not been located since. An investigation is ongoing. The use of drones near military facilities is prohibited. We are taking necessary actions where needed,” the statement reads.
