Ukrposhta is set to launch a new series of stamps dedicated to the lighthouses of the Black and Azov Seas, including those located in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.

This set is part of the "Lighthouses of Ukraine" project, which was initiated in 2009, as stated by company representatives.

The release of this year's stamps coincides with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the State Hydrographic Service, the government agency responsible for maintaining lighthouses in Ukraine.

"This time, the stamps will tell the stories of the lighthouses of the Black and Azov Seas, as well as the Crimean lighthouses, which, despite being temporarily occupied, remain part of Ukraine not only on the map but also in the hearts of Ukrainians", – explained Ukrposhta.

The stamps will feature:

  • the lighthouses in Crimea: Ai-Todor and Chaudine;
  • Shagansky lighthouse in Odesa region;
  • Biloshary and Berdyansk Upper lighthouses in the Sea of Azov;
  • the Rusky Zadny lighthouse, located on the Bug-Dnipro-Lyman Canal in Mykolaiv region.
