On November 12 at 1:20 PM, rescuers received a call from a resident of Kharkiv, born in 2000. He reported that he and a colleague, born in 1985, got lost while climbing Mount Stepanets in the Verkhovyna district due to sudden worsening weather conditions.
Specialists from the mountain search and rescue unit of the village of Verkhovyna were dispatched. After several hours of searching, the rescuers located the hikers and safely escorted them back to the nearest settlement.
Four people dressed warmly are standing on the mountain at night; in the upper right corner, the logo of the State Emergency Service of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Thanks to the prompt actions of the rescuers, the hikers received the necessary assistance and were unharmed.
