In a Kherson hospital, which is frequently under fire, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with medical staff and patients.
The hospital's director reported to the President that the surgical department is treating patients who suffered severe injuries from explosions due to Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling. Additionally, there is an underground resuscitation module that allows medical personnel to provide surgical assistance safely around the clock.
The President expressed gratitude to the doctors for their commitment and for saving the lives of Ukrainians.
Moreover, Volodymyr Zelensky listened to the report from the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, regarding the construction of new medical infrastructure in the region. Currently, 11 healthcare facilities are already equipped with underground hospitals, with plans for five more by the end of the year.
