The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy have signed a cooperation agreement. GUR reports that the document was signed by Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov and NaUKMA President Serhiy Kvit. The primary goal of this initiative is to integrate military intelligence experience with the academic expertise of the university for a deeper analysis of the potential threat.
The plan includes researching the social and political structure of Russia, propaganda methods, and other aspects. Intelligence specialists will collaborate with the International Relations departments at NaUKMA and the School of Political Analysis.
"To defeat the adversary, it is crucial to understand their strategy and actions. We are prepared to share our knowledge with the scholars. The combined efforts of science and intelligence will strengthen the country's defense capacity," stated Kyrylo Budanov.
The cooperation between GUR and NaUKMA will involve joint studies, educational programs, and knowledge exchange. This initiative aims to train a new generation of specialists capable of effectively countering threats.
"We have launched a certificate program in 'Russian Studies' to better understand the Russian threat. Knowing the enemy is key to our victory. Collaborating with GUR will help systematize this research," emphasized Serhiy Kvit.
Earlier, the GUR revealed information about the Russian drone 'Orion' and data on 43 companies involved in its production, a third of which are not under sanctions.
