In a significant military collaboration, Latvia has delivered 21 Patria 6x6 armored vehicles to Ukraine. The handover took place at the «Adazi» military base in Riga during the visit of Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal. According to the Ministry of Defense, these vehicles will be deployed to the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Additionally, Latvia has transferred 12 CVR(T) reconnaissance vehicles as part of a previously announced military aid package.
Shmyhal expressed gratitude to Defense Minister Andris Sprudss and the people of Latvia for their unwavering support.

Furthermore, Shmyhal thanked Latvia for an additional contribution of €2.2 million to the PURL initiative and financial support for the Coalition of Shelters.
He emphasized the importance of participation in the NATO project «Renovator» aimed at restoring five military rehabilitation centers in Ukraine.
The Defense Minister also expressed hope for funding through a reparations loan from frozen Russian assets.
«Decisive actions are needed on this issue as it concerns the security of Ukraine and other European countries», – he concluded.
