In Transcarpathia, concrete barriers are being installed near border crossings to deter attempts to breach the state border. This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko.
"Attempts to break through the border are not uncommon, and individuals often try to force their way through, even damaging barriers. The State Border Guard Service, together with the agencies responsible for border crossing points, is continuously working to prevent such actions," Demchenko stated.
According to him, border guards, in collaboration with the Infrastructure Development and Restoration Service of the Transcarpathian OVA, are implementing additional safety measures on roadways leading to border points. Specifically, devices are being installed to ensure vehicles reduce their speed.
Furthermore, within the framework of enhancing engineering protection, additional structures are being erected to prevent vehicles from breaching the control line, including damage to barriers or other elements of border infrastructure.
