The Ukrainian Navy has expanded its fleet with the addition of new Combat Boat 90 vessels from Sweden and Norway. This was announced by Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, on Facebook.
"These boats are already in service with our fleet, and their numbers have now increased – we have formed a full division based on this technology," said Neizhpapa.
He emphasized that CB90s are among the best in the world and are utilized by many countries, including NATO members.
These vessels are characterized by speed, maneuverability, and reliability. They are designed to perform a variety of tasks, from troop deployment and coastal defense to patrolling and protecting civilian shipping.
The boats are equipped according to modern maritime warfare requirements, and the crews have undergone comprehensive training to effectively utilize all the capabilities of the technology.
"I personally tested the Combat Boat 90 in action. I am convinced that these boats will become a powerful tool in the hands of our warriors," Neizhpapa stressed.
He reminded that the supply of this technology is yet another result of collaborative efforts within the Coalition of Maritime Capabilities of Ukraine, aimed at enhancing the Navy's potential.
