The White House has released a list of donors contributing millions to the ball room project. According to CNN, among the companies are Apple, Amazon, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Google, Coinbase, Comcast, and Meta.
This list represents only a fraction of the firms that have contributed to the construction of the ball room proposed by President Donald Trump, which will cover approximately 8300 square meters.
Additional donors include Gemini cryptocurrency exchange co-founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and his family, as well as the Adelson family. In 2018, Trump awarded Miriam Adelson, an influential Republican donor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Trump has repeatedly stated that the construction of the ball room is funded privately – through his own contributions and those of donors – and will not cost taxpayers any money.
On Wednesday, Trump discussed his plans for the ball room, stating that it would amount to "approximately $300 million." Previously, the administration had estimated the cost of the project at $200 million.
Earlier, the Trump administration acknowledged that work commenced in the White House earlier this week was aimed at completely demolishing the east wing for the construction of the ball room.
