Lviv has become the first city in Ukraine where fines for parking violations can be viewed through the "Diia" app. Oleg Zabarilo, the Director of the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council, announced that drivers in Lviv can now quickly check the status of fines and pay them online.
According to him, this can all be done in just a few clicks within the "Diia" mobile app, without the need for paper notifications.
"Now even inconveniences can be handled more comfortably. Information arrives faster, and payments are easier, allowing the city to save budget funds on administration and postal expenses. This is the result of our team's long-standing work with the relevant ministry and partners," Zabarilo noted.
According to the OpenDataBot service, in the first half of 2025, the Unified Register of Debtors recorded 375,810 cases due to unpaid fines for traffic violations. Although this figure has somewhat decreased compared to last year, it remains significantly higher than pre-war levels. Kyiv ranks first in the number of cases, and the number of women among debtors is increasing. In 2025, they account for 21% of all cases, compared to 8% before the full-scale war.
