Ukraine is set to receive 70 generators from Spain as part of announced energy assistance. This was reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, on social media following a meeting with the Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares Bueno.
"I expressed my gratitude to Spain for the announced energy assistance to Ukraine — 70 generators that will be arriving soon. We appreciate this support for the Ukrainian people ahead of winter," he wrote.
Additionally, the minister stated they discussed ways to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and energy resilience, including military-technical cooperation, as well as Spain's significant contributions to the PURL and SAFE programs.
Sybiha emphasized the need for continued sanctions pressure on Russia through the 19th EU sanctions package and visa regime restrictions.
"We also see potential for partnerships between cities and regions of Ukraine and Spain. I deeply appreciate Spain's commitment to rehabilitating Ukrainian children from frontline areas," he noted.
