In October, Ukrainian rescuers visited Sweden as part of a cooperative initiative between the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB). During this training visit, specialists honed their skills on modern rescue vessels that will soon be delivered to Ukraine as humanitarian aid.
The training took place in Stockholm and Gothenburg where rescuers:
- worked on the rescue vessel «Märta Collin» (16 m) and the fast firefighting vessel «Balder» (15 m);
- practiced vessel management skills;
- familiarized themselves with the design, firefighting systems, and technical capabilities of the vessels.
A meeting with representatives of the Swedish company, the manufacturer of these vessels, also took place, and they will continue to provide technical support and service maintenance.
