The restoration of the Muse of Theatre sculpture on the Obolon Embankment in Kyiv has been completed. This news comes from the municipal enterprise «Plesso». The official opening was dedicated to Artist's Day.
These works, carried out under the initiative of «Plesso» and the Public Organization «Heritage of Chemberzhi in Art and Education», were executed by renowned sculptor Sergey Borodin. His skill and expertise allowed the sculpture to be fully restored to its original appearance based on archival materials.
The main goal of the restoration was to preserve as many authentic elements as possible, replacing only the lost or damaged fragments. All works were conducted using technologies that ensure quality and durability. Additionally, a special protective coating was applied to the sculpture to enhance its resistance to weather conditions and maintain its beauty for years to come.
«This successful restoration is an important step in preserving the cultural heritage of the city and restoring the aesthetic appeal of public space. We invite everyone to enjoy the renewed beauty of the Muse of Theatre», — stated the representatives of Plesso.
It is worth noting that at the end of last year, the «Plesso» took over the management of the landscaping elements of the Obolon Embankment, including the sculptures of the «Alley of Muses», and began their restoration.
