The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has announced new dates for the heating season, which will now last from November 1 to March 31. The relevant resolution was published on the government’s website.
According to the amendments to the CMU Resolution dated 19.07.2022 No. 812 «On Approval of the Regulation on Imposing Special Obligations on Market Entities of Natural Gas to Ensure Public Interests in the Functioning of the Natural Gas Market Regarding the Peculiarities of Natural Gas Supply to Heat Energy Producers and Budgetary Institutions», the heating season in Ukraine for the 2025-2026 period will officially run from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
It should be noted that previously the heating season started on October 15 and lasted until April 15. Local self-government bodies could make decisions on postponement or early termination based on weather conditions, but the state guaranteed stable gas supplies during this period.
