U.S. President Donald Trump answered affirmatively when asked if the conflict in Gaza could be considered officially over. This was reported by CNN.
As Trump walked past the Knesset building in Jerusalem, a journalist inquired whether the war had now "officially" ended.
"Yes," Trump replied, reiterating his stance and previous comments that the ceasefire agreement he helped broker signifies the final end of the conflict.
Earlier, Trump had written a message in the visitor's book of the Israeli parliament.
"It is a great honor for me – a wonderful and beautiful day. A new beginning," the president wrote, followed by his signature.
Trump arrived in Israel amid the backdrop of residents watching the process of releasing hostages from the clutches of the Hamas terrorist group.
