Ukrainian Railways, known as "Ukrzaliznytsia", has implemented new diversion routes for trains due to increased threats of enemy attacks on certain sections of the railway heading towards the Sumy region. This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Hryhorov.
"The movement is organized to ensure the safety of people", he stated.
Ukrzaliznytsia clarified that the changes specifically affect regional train services:
- 895 Konotop – Fastiv
- 888/887 Slavutych – Kyiv-Volynskyi
- 892 Fastiv - Slavutych.
Suburban trains reach the station Nosivka and depart accordingly from there.
Long-distance trains, such as 787 Tereshchenska – Kyiv, 786 Kyiv – Tereshchenska, 113 Kharkiv - Lviv, 779 Sumy – Kyiv, 116 Kyiv – Sumy, 774 Zhmerinka – Tereshchenska, are diverted to reach their destinations.
It is worth noting that due to Russian shelling in the Sumy region, movement on the Nizhyn direction continues under reserve locomotives, and some trains are operating on diversion routes.
