The Center for Combating Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council has reported an increase in the Russian information campaign aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was communicated via Telegram.
Specifically, Russian propagandists are spreading false claims that Ukrainian soldiers near Kupyansk are starving and refusing to fight.
The Center clarified that this is yet another attempt to demoralize Ukrainians and undermine the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Such "news" often cite anonymous sources within the "security forces" of Russia - a standard tactic used to exert pressure on Ukrainian society.
"The goal of these fakes is to create an illusion of chaos within the Ukrainian army," the Center emphasized.
