In light of threats from Russian shelling, Ukrzaliznytsia is restructuring its routes in frontline areas. This was announced by the chairman of the company, Oleksandr Pertzovskyi, during a telethon.

«I won't elaborate too much, but we are reorganizing our routes to make them more flexible in order to reduce safety risks,» he emphasized.

According to Pertzovskyi, the Russian army continues to target Ukrzaliznytsia's rolling stock, yet the company does not plan to halt connections with frontline communities.

«Frontline regions are under daily attacks. However, it's crucial to maintain connections with these cities… We urge all passengers to heed the instructions of train crews and station staff. Certain segments will be serviced by buses, and routes will be adjusted to minimize risks,» added Pertzovskyi.
