In 2024, 176 defenders and their families received compensation from the Kyiv city budget for medical expenses totaling nearly 4.4 million UAH. This was reported by Marina Honda, the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.

«Our goal is to provide every defender and their families with proper medical and social support. Compensation for medical expenses is a significant step in this direction, as not all needs are covered by the NHIF. This year, 176 people benefited from this assistance. Specifically, the city budget covered the production of individualized jaw implants and medications for oncology treatment,» said Honda.

She noted that the compensation covers costs for outpatient and inpatient treatment, including endoprosthetics and auditory prosthetics. Information about the categories eligible for this service, as well as the list of required documents, is available at: http://e.surl.li/hhoqqo.

«The decision on compensation is made by a specially created commission. We are working diligently to ensure that support is provided as quickly and effectively as possible to those in need. Each case is, of course, individual, so amounts vary. The highest amount is 312,000 UAH, and a total of nearly 4.4 million UAH has been paid out. Therefore, I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity. It will also be available next year,» added Honda.

The Deputy Head of the KCSA noted that compensation is provided for treatment in departmental, state, and municipal healthcare facilities in Ukraine.
