Polish border guards have reported the discovery of debris from an unidentified flying object in a village close to the Belarus border.

«Today (September 7 – ed.), by 10 PM, the duty officer of the Terespol police received a report from border guard officials about the discovery of debris from an unidentified flying object near the Terespol border crossing in Polatychi,» the local police stated on Facebook.

Authorities added that they are securing the area of the discovery.

«As a result of the incident, no one was harmed,» the police added.

It is noted that in August, a drone fell into a cornfield in eastern Poland, damaging crops and breaking windows in nearby houses. The prosecutor investigating the incident stated that it likely entered Poland from Belarus, a Russian ally. Drones have also fallen in Romania and the Baltic states.
