A chess tournament took place at the Kyiv railway station, where anyone interested could challenge the renowned international master, Sergey Pavlov.
Over 20 participants took part, including adults and children, as reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
Sergey played simultaneously against several opponents. The only player to defeat him was chess player Oleksandra Udod. Her confident performance impressed both the audience and the master.
The event was organized by Ukrzaliznytsia in collaboration with the Chess Federation of Ukraine to promote the game among travelers and to remind everyone that the railway is not just about journeys but also cultural initiatives!
Spectators applauded the participants and the master, and Ukrzaliznytsia presented memorable gifts.
Such competitions are planned to be held in the future.
