A serious car accident occurred in Cherkasy, resulting in the deaths of three individuals at the scene, along with injuries to a child.
The local police reported this via social media.

"On September 2, near the village of Pishchane, two cars collided. The police have opened a criminal case regarding traffic violations that led to multiple fatalities. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of a Ford Fiesta crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a "VAZ-2110". As a result of this tragic incident, three people died at the scene, and a minor was hospitalized with injuries," the statement reads.

It was noted that those who lost their lives included a 28-year-old female driver of the Ford, a 56-year-old driver of the VAZ, and his 65-year-old passenger.

Investigators from the transport crimes unit have entered information about the accident into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under part 3 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules resulting in multiple deaths) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Police are currently conducting necessary investigative actions to establish all circumstances surrounding the accident.
