In Ukraine, a significant arrest has taken place: a suspect in the murder of Deputy Andrii Parubii has been apprehended.
President Volodymyr Zelensky shared this news through social media.
“The Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko and the head of the Security Service Vasyl Maliuk have just confirmed the arrest of the suspect in this case,” Zelensky stated.
According to the president, an active investigation is ongoing.
“I have instructed to release all details of the case. I thank law enforcement for their prompt and coordinated efforts. All details surrounding this tragic murder must be clarified,” he added.
Update: Later, Zelensky reported on a conversation with Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.
“Kravchenko reported on the next steps regarding the suspect. Initial testimonies have been obtained. Urgent investigative actions are currently underway to establish all circumstances of the murder,” he noted.
It should be noted that earlier, Zelensky assured that the investigation into the murder of Deputy Parubii is being conducted “virtually around the clock.”
