This morning in the Sanjaktepe area of Istanbul, a tragic bus accident occurred, leading to the death of three individuals and injuring twenty others.
This information was confirmed by the Istanbul governor's office.
“On August 18 at 06:15, on the Istanbul-North Marmara highway near the village of Pashaköy, the bus crashed into a barrier after the driver lost control,” the statement noted.
According to preliminary reports, three out of the 35 passengers on the bus died, while twenty sustained injuries. The injured were promptly transported to regional hospitals for medical care, and an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
Currently, there is no information regarding the presence of Ukrainian citizens on the bus.
