The Ukrainian border guards have apprehended a man who was trying to flee to Moldova using a paramotor.
This information was shared by the State Border Guard Service via Telegram.
According to the service, a 48-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi decided to cross the border using a paramotor he purchased online for 500 euros. He chose a field near the border for takeoff and intended to fly without any documents or navigation aids – "by eye".
It was reported that the border guards of the Mohyliv-Podilskyi detachment stopped him before he could take off.
"The violator was detained and held accountable administratively," the State Border Guard Service concluded.
