A new fraudulent scheme has emerged online, masquerading as financial aid from the UN. Users are being sent fake links to collect their personal information.
The Center for Countering Disinformation of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council warns about this scam. Malicious actors send counterfeit messages inviting users to visit a fraudulent site to apply for 10,800 UAH in aid.
Official sources state that the UN does not make payments in this manner and does not provide financial support through unverified or third-party websites.
Experts urge individuals not to click on suspicious links and to refrain from sharing personal information with unknown individuals. If you receive such messages, it is advisable to report them to the relevant authorities and block the scammers.
Law enforcement reminds that such schemes are often used to steal personal data and funds from bank accounts.
