On August 11, a series of events will take place at the Youth House in Kyiv, aimed at fostering youth engagement, decision-making, and their role in societal change. These activities are organized in collaboration with the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House, UNDP in Ukraine, and the Council of Europe.
The program includes thematic board games, presentations, and discussions. All activities will provide a space for networking, sharing experiences, and gaining knowledge on how youth can influence processes in educational institutions, communities, and at the state level.
Event Program for Youth Day:
1. Simulation Board Game “Year of Decisions”
“Year of Decisions” simulates a year in student self-government. Participants will navigate the journey from planning to decision-making, developing skills in resource management, teamwork, and engaging students in active participation. The game is created by UNDP in Ukraine and NGO “ET CETERA.”
Two rounds of the game will be held: from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Limited spots are available.
2. Board Game “There Are Solutions!”
This game has been developed in cooperation with the Council of Europe project “Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase III,” the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ukrainian Association of Youth Councils based on the visions and needs of young people.
The session will start with a presentation about resources and opportunities from the Council of Europe, followed by the game. Participants will explore youth-related policies, forms of participation, barriers, and ways to overcome them. They will also learn about the YPMP approach (Rights, Means, Space, Opportunities, Support) and its connection to youth participation in real-life decision-making.

3. Open Event “European Integration and Youth Influence”
During this event, participants will learn how the European Union operates and the stage of integration Ukraine is currently in. They will meet with an activist from the Euromaidan, discuss the role of civic activism, and conclude with a discussion on what influence tools youth have. This meeting is organized by the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House as part of a series of events dedicated to Denmark's presidency in the EU Council.
The event will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
