Since the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Defense has delivered over 1 million FPV drones for the needs of the Armed Forces.

This was reported by Ukraine's Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal on Facebook.

According to him, to expedite the delivery of drones to the front in the required quantities, the Ministry is implementing new approaches. Specifically, under the Framework Agreement, manufacturers are contracted based on tactical and technical specifications rather than specific product names.

Shmyhal noted that this allows for a wider range of manufacturers to be involved in procurement, ensuring competition among them and transparency through the bidding process in Prozorro.

Moreover, the digital marketplace DOT-Chain Defence, where units can choose the necessary drones themselves, ensures prompt and targeted delivery to the front. The platform is already operating in pilot mode for 12 combat brigades.

“Our priority is to develop the most effective mechanisms to supply soldiers on the front lines with essential drones. According to the assigned orders, the Defense Procurement Agency is working to increase delivery rates so that each unit receives exactly what it needs for combat missions,” emphasized Shmyhal.
