Starting August 1, Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced mandatory verification for ticket purchases on three domestic routes.

This was announced by the company's press service.

The decision was made following numerous passenger complaints, and the company aims to address these concerns.

Verification will be required for purchasing tickets on the following trains:

  • №29/30 Kyiv — Uzhhorod,
  • №12 Lviv — Odesa,
  • №27/28 Kyiv — Chop.

The previous list has removed trains №105/106 Odesa – Kyiv and №91/92 Lviv – Kyiv.

Ukrzaliznytsia also explained that to purchase or refund tickets for these routes, passengers must verify their accounts in the company's application.

To ensure access to tickets for passengers without updated passports or the ability to renew them, ticket sales will also be available at several ticket offices:

  • in Chop (ticket office №2);
  • in Uzhhorod (ticket office №2);
  • in Lviv (ticket office №1);
  • in Odesa (ticket offices №14 and №2);
  • in Kyiv (ticket offices №21 and 22).

The company stated that they are closely monitoring the results of this pilot project to decide whether to expand the practice to other routes.
