As of Thursday morning, July 31, severe weather conditions have caused complete or partial power outages in 75 settlements across six regions.

This information was shared by the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" on its Facebook page.

"Due to adverse weather conditions (thunderstorms, gusts) – as of morning, 75 settlements are without power. Repair crews are working to fix damages on the lines. All consumers are expected to be reconnected by the end of the day," the statement reads.

It is noted that electricity consumption shows a downward trend. On July 31, at 9:30 AM, consumption was 7% lower compared to the same time the previous day – Wednesday. The reason for this change is the decrease in temperature across Ukraine. Additionally, most regions are experiencing sunny weather, which promotes the effective operation of domestic solar power stations and reduces the load on the overall grid.

Yesterday, July 30, the daily maximum electricity consumption was recorded during the day. It was 5% lower than the maximum of the previous day – Tuesday, July 29. The reason for this is a significant drop in air temperature.

Ukrenergo reminded that the Ukrainian energy system continues to recover after the massive missile and drone attacks from Russia. Emergency restoration works at energy facilities are ongoing.
