President Volodymyr Zelensky convened all heads of law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies and assured that they all agreed to work "exclusively constructively".
The head of state shared this on social media.
Zelensky described the conversation as "frank and highly beneficial". According to the president, the parties agreed to hold a "deep working meeting next week regarding a common action plan". In two weeks, he stated, a joint plan should be ready – outlining the necessary steps to strengthen Ukraine, address existing issues, provide more justice, and genuinely protect the interests of Ukrainian society.
The president released a group photo with all meeting participants.
Direct quote: "I am grateful to all participants of today's meeting: SBU, NABU, SAP, NACP, DBR, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Attorney General. Thank you for your willingness to work as a team – for the team of Ukraine. For the interests of Ukraine. We agreed that everyone will work exclusively constructively.
We all hear what society is saying. We see what people expect from state institutions to ensure justice and the effectiveness of each institution. We discussed necessary administrative and legislative solutions that will strengthen the work of each institution, resolve existing contradictions, and remove threats. Everyone will work together, and we will support this at the political level."
Why this matters: President Zelensky has not yet directly mentioned the swiftly signed law from July 22 limiting the powers of anti-corruption institutions or the protests against this document that took place on Tuesday evening in the government quarter, essentially "under the windows" of the President's Office.
