Enhanced monitoring measures for freight carriers in southern Ukraine.

Due to the increased risk of traffic accidents and the harvest season, Ukrtransbezpeka has initiated enhanced measures to detect violations in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.

Inspectors from other parts of Ukraine have been dispatched to the area for this purpose.

«The ongoing military conflict has drastically altered the country's logistics routes. Currently, all logistics to the ports pass through the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. Thus, our task is to preserve the roads and significantly reduce repair costs. I urge carriers to adhere to weight and dimensional standards to avoid substantial fines,» emphasized the Head of Ukrtransbezpeka Nikita Lagunin.

During this enhanced monitoring, some road sections are under round-the-clock control. Inspectors pay special attention to compliance with weight norms and the working and rest regime of drivers.

The monitoring measures are coordinated by the Odesa and Mykolaiv regional state administrations with the support of Ukrzaliznytsia.
