A 3-year-old girl who had gone missing was discovered in a forest in the Zhytomyr region.
According to the State Emergency Service (SES), rescuers received a report yesterday at around 4 PM about a missing child in the village of Mala Chernyavka in the Berdychiv district.
«The child was with her grandmother, but at one point she disappeared from her sight,» the rescuers explained.
The frightened grandmother contacted the village elder, who then alerted all relevant services.
The police directed all available resources to the search based on the provided coordinates.
«Over 100 individuals, including rescuers, police officers, dog handlers, and local residents, searched for the child who went missing in the fields of Mala Chernyavka,» the emergency services reported.
After two hours of searching, the girl was found in the forest; she had become scared and fallen asleep.
Psychologists assisted the little girl to help her calm down.
«Medical staff examined her — she is fine and does not require hospitalization,» the SES noted.
