On Tuesday, President Volodymyr Zelensky officially signed a new law regarding dual citizenship in Ukraine.
This was announced by the president himself.
Zelensky emphasized that he signed the law, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on June 18, which includes a series of amendments concerning the acquisition and retention of Ukrainian citizenship.
"The introduction of dual citizenship will enable us to establish stronger legal foundations for the unity of our great nation – millions of Ukrainians across all continents, as well as those who have tied their fate to Ukraine," he remarked.
The president noted that Ukraine can now begin identifying the first partner countries for implementing dual citizenship.
