Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to coordinate diplomatic efforts for the near future.

Starmer expressed his condolences regarding the recent massive Russian strikes. Zelensky thanked him for the support extended to Ukraine. The leaders discussed the needs and potential for additional funding this month for Ukrainian drone production, especially interceptors.

The President and Prime Minister exchanged views on the expectations for the upcoming coalition meeting in Rome in just a few days. Efforts are ongoing to ensure that the decisions made are as strong as possible, focusing on enhancing air defense, economic pressure on Russia, sanctions, and security in the Black Sea.

Particular attention was given to all other formats of interaction with key partners, especially regarding the “Ramstein” format. Zelensky and Starmer discussed prospects for strengthening its operations and agreed to work on this.
