A new agreement concerning employees in the construction and building materials sector has been established in Ukraine, which includes doubling the minimum wage for construction workers.
This information was provided by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba, who is responsible for the country's recovery.
"This document is crucial for those engaged in the daily construction of recovery projects," Kuleba emphasized.
The agreement, effective from 2025 to 2027, is mandatory for all enterprises, institutions, and organizations in the construction industry. "New or updated collective agreements must be established based on this agreement," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
Kuleba highlighted the main provisions of the agreement:
- A new guaranteed tariff rate has been set for workers at 401% of the living wage, meaning the minimum salary is now 12142 UAH. Previously, this figure was at 231%, or 6995 UAH.
- The agreement also includes provisions regarding labor safety, qualification requirements, organization of production processes, and legal protection for workers. Specific measures for employment legalization, vocational training, and monitoring compliance with obligations have been established.
