This morning, a horrific accident occurred on the highway in the Petrykivka district of Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in one death and 17 injuries.

The Dnipropetrovsk police reported this via Telegram.

"Police are on the scene of a fatal accident involving a passenger bus. The incident took place on July 7 around 5:00 AM on the highway in the Petrykivka district," the police stated.

 It was reported that the driver of the "Van hool" bus lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway and overturn.

Preliminary information indicates that one passenger was killed in the accident, while 17 others sustained injuries. The injured were hospitalized for urgent medical care.

Investigators have initiated a criminal case regarding the violation of traffic safety rules that led to a fatality and injuries. An investigation is ongoing to determine all circumstances of the incident.
